Thomas Sorensen is expected to return to Stoke City's side after two months on the sidelines, boosting the goalkeeper's hopes of playing for Denmark in Euro 2012.

Stoke City goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen could be on his way to the European Championships with Denmark this summer as the shot-stopper is due to make a return to the Potters lineup.

It is believed that that 35-year-old will replace Asmir Begovic in the starting XI to face Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.

This could prove to be a boost to the Danish international, who has not played first-team football at the Britannia Stadium for two months.

Sorensen has been with the Premier League outfit since 2008.
