Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross has revealed that he is planning to stay with the club.
It was revealed earlier this season that the Potters had offered their captain a new six-year contract, but as yet, no agreement has been reached between the two parties.
However, despite being linked with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool, England international Shawcross has insisted that he would be "happy" to commit his future to Stoke.
"I'm happy at Stoke. I've got 18 months left and we are in talks over my contract. These things take time but hopefully I can stay on," he told Sky Sports News.
"I want to stay. I've enjoyed my time. I'm captain and the gaffer has been great to me. These things take a little bit of time to iron out."
Shawcross joined Stoke from Man United in 2008.
