Sunderland striker Fabio Borini: 'We can benefit from international break'

Sunderland striker Fabio Borini is hopeful that manager Sam Allardyce will have time to implement his ideas during the international break.

Sunderland striker Fabio Borini has claimed that the team will benefit from the international break as manager Sam Allardyce will have more time to get to know his players.

The Black Cats are currently second from bottom in the Premier League table following eight defeats, three draws and just one win.

Since Allardyce took over, the team have managed to claim a victory, but have suffered three losses.

"It is the manager's job to find the best way to play but he has just come in and needs time to know all the players, but we don't have much time to see everyone, I think that is the difficulty," the Sunderland Echo quotes Borini as saying.

"Now, with the international break he will have more time, even if not all the players are in. More time for him to think and more time for us to get back in shape and get fitter and build on the ideas of the manager."

Sunderland's next game is against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on November 23.
