Wigan Athletic midfielder Max Power is reportedly undergoing a medical with Sunderland.
Power, 25, has made 142 appearances for Wigan since a switch from Tranmere Rovers in 2015.
Last term, the midfielder scored five League One goals as the Latics secured a return to the Championship.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Power is on the verge of dropping back down to the third tier of English football, with Sunderland agreeing a fee for the Wigan midfielder on transfer deadline day.
Sunderland, who opened their 2018-19 League One season with a 1-0 win over Charlton Athletic last weekend, have already brought 11 new players to the club in this summer's transfer window.
