Swansea City are on the verge of completing an £11m swoop for Las Palmas midfielder Roque Mesa, according to a report.
The 28-year-old, previously linked with a switch to Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton, is said to be locked in advanced talks with the Swans.
It is claimed by Sky Sports News that Paul Clement has long been keen on signing the Spaniard, who has a £26m release clause inserted into his contract but will be sold for more than half of that figure.
Mesa will become the Welsh outfit's third-most expensive signing if a deal goes through, behind Borja Baston and Wilfried Bony, the former of whom has been tipped to move on this summer.
Swansea are also understood to be days away from landing the signature of young striker Tammy Abraham on a season-long loan from champions Chelsea.
