Daniel Sturridge: "We are getting better"

Following his goal in Team GB's 3-1 win over the UAE, Daniel Sturridge says that Stuart Pearce's side are improving.

Daniel Sturridge believes that Stuart Pearce's Team GB side will continue to improve game by game.

The 22-year-old Chelsea forward scored 14 minutes from time to seal Great Britain's 3-1 win over the UAE at Wembley earlier tonight.

He said: "We are gelling more and getting more fitness. This is still pre-season so nobody is at their peak fitness or playing as well as they can.

"But the atmosphere in the camp is great and we are getting better on the pitch."

Team GB, who currently top Group A, now face Uruguay in Cardiff on Wednesday.
