Sports Mole previews Saturday's Women's Super League clash between Tottenham Hotspur Ladies and Arsenal Women, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Arsenal Women will make the short trip to Brisbane Road on Saturday to face their bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur Ladies in a North London derby.

The hosts currently reside in ninth place in the Women's Super League table, while the Gunners occupy fourth position.

Tottenham made the decision to sack Rehanne Skinner following a 2-1 away loss against Liverpool, which represented the club's ninth consecutive league defeat.

Skinner's assistant Vicky Jepson was subsequently placed in temporary charge, and she managed to end the club's woeful run of form in her first game as Tottenham's interim boss.

Spurs prevailed in a crucial contest against basement side Leicester City, with Bethany England scoring the winning goal in the 65th minute.

The narrow 1-0 win moved Spurs five points clear of the one and only relegation place, but with seven matches still to play, their place in the top flight is far from secure.

Having scored just five goals in their seven home league games this season, Tottenham know that they have their work cut out to trouble an Arsenal side that boast the best defensive record in the WSL after conceding only eight goals in 14 matches.

However, Arsenal's defence was breached by Bayern Munich in midweek, as a first-half header from Lea Schuller secured the German side a narrow 1-0 win in the first leg of their Women's Champions League quarter-final tie.

With the second leg taking place at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday, Arsenal boss Jonas Eidevall will be imploring his side to remain fully focused on Saturday's North London derby.

Arsenal are currently three points adrift of the Champions League places, but they have a game in hand over Manchester City and Manchester United, who sit in third and second place respectively.

With the Gunners set to face the two Manchester clubs in April, they will want to avoid any slip-ups this weekend after picking up just one point from their last two away games, which includes a 2-1 defeat to Man City.

After thrashing Tottenham 4-0 when the two sides met in September, the Gunners will be confident that they can claim derby bragging rights once again.

Tottenham are still without the services of long-term injury absentees Kyah Simon, Ellie Brazil and Ria Percival.

Jess Naz is also expected to be ruled out through injury, while Mana Iwabuchi is ineligible to face her parent club after joining on loan from Arsenal in January.

Shelina Zadorsky has missed the last three matches, and she remains a doubt for Saturday's North London derby.

As for the visitors, Steph Catley is not expected to return from injury until after the international break in April.

Jodie Taylor, who recently rejoined the Gunners on a short-term deal, was ineligible to play in the Champions League in midweek, but she is expected to be on the bench on Saturday.

Eidevall may be tempted to freshen up his side with a couple of changes, which could result in Victoria Pelova and Lina Hurtig being presented with starting opportunities.

Tottenham Hotspur Ladies possible starting lineup:
Korpela; Neville, Turner, Bartrip, Harrop; Ayane, James, Spence, Summanen; England, Karczewska

Arsenal Women possible starting lineup:
Zinsberger; Wienroither, Williamson, Rafaelle, McCabe; Maanum, Little, Walti; Pelova, Hurtig, Blackstenius

We say: Tottenham Hotspur Ladies 1-3 Arsenal Women

Tottenham would have been relieved to end their winless run last time out, but we think that they will be brushed aside by an Arsenal team that possesses the quality needed to claim a comfortable victory.
