Tunisia free to compete in 2017 Africa Cup of Nations

CAF allow Tunisia to play in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations following their controversial defeat in this year's tournament.

Tunisia have been cleared to play in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations by CAF.

The country's future in the tournament was in doubt after players surrounded and chased the referee down the tunnel following their 2-1 quarter-final defeat to Equatorial Guinea in this year's competition.

However, they have now been cleared by CAF, who said that "the problems are definitely settled" and that they are free to participate in 2017.

Tunisia won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2004 but have failed to make it past the quarter-finals in the last six editions of the tournament.
