Valencia equal record for Champions League quickest goal

Valencia forward Jonas equals Roy Maakay's record for the fastest goal in Champions League history.

Valencia forward Jonas has equalled the record for the fastest goal in Champions League history after netting with just ten seconds played in their tie with Bayer Leverkusen tonight.

The Brazilian international equals the previous record set by former Bayern Munich striker, who scored after the same amount of time against Real Madrid in the 2007 competition.

He also netted in the reverse fixture two weeks ago, where the Spanish outfit surrendered a first-half lead to lose 2-1.

Stefan Kiessling has since equalised for Leverkusen in tonight's match at the Mestalla.
