Paco Alcacer has revealed that he is desperate to nail down the number nine position for Spain after netting two more goals for his country on Friday.
The Valencia striker came off the bench to score a double against Luxembourg as La Roja secured their spot at Euro 2016.
Alcacer, who replaced the injured Alvaro Morata in the first period, has insisted that he is not yet thinking about the European Championships, but is keen to make an impression in Spain's final qualifier against Ukraine on Monday.
"A striker lives for [scoring goals] and that's what I bring to the team, but I won't stop here. I want to stay [in the team] and try again," Alcacer told reporters. "I'm not thinking about the Euros, only playing in Ukraine. I'll take the future as it comes."
Alcacer has now netted six times in nine appearances for the European champions.
