Valencia midfielder Javi Fuego is expected to return to first-team training next week despite learning that he will need groin surgery to remove a cyst.
Fuego, who arrived at the Mestalla from Rayo Vallecano in the summer, has been a regular in the Valencia XI in the early part of the season.
However, he is expected to sit out the next week of training as he recovers from groin surgery, where a sebaceous cyst will be removed from his right leg.
Valencia, who struggled in the early part of the campaign, are currently on a four-match unbeaten run in the league.
