Valencia will reportedly refuse to sell Carlos Soler unless the midfielder's release clause of £70m is met.
Soler, 21, signed a new long-term contract with Valencia last year, and has made 28 appearances in all competitions for his Spanish club during the 2017-18 campaign.
Manchester United have previously been credited with an interest in the Spain Under-21 international, while it is understood that Real Madrid are admirers.
According to Super Deporte, Valencia are aware of the interest in the midfielder, and the former Spanish champions are not prepared to discuss a transfer unless his release clause of £70m is activated.
Soler, who can operate on the right as well as in the centre, has one goal and five assists to his name this season.
