Neil Taylor: 'I can be versatile'

Swansea City defender Neil Taylor insists that he is prepared to play in a number of positions if it means selection for club and country.

Swansea City defender Neil Taylor has revealed that he is comfortable playing on both sides of the pitch for club and country.

The full-back is predominately a left-back, while he was used as a left-winger for Wales during their friendly with Republic of Ireland on Wednesday, and the Swans player has insisted that he is capable of playing on the right flank too.

The 24-year-old told Wales Online: "I know I can play both sides. I've done it before and I played right-back at the Olympics.

"But I think that most full-backs can play on both sides. If you're good on one side you should be able to do it on the other.

"Usually you see it the other way round, right-backs playing left-back. But thankfully I can do it and I'm available there if I'm needed."

Taylor has made 11 appearances for Wales.
