Watford manager Marco Silva urges his players to use no languages besides English on the training ground.

Watford manager Marco Silva has demanded that his players speak the same language on the training ground, regardless of where they hail from.

The former Hull City boss has ordered his squad to restrict their conversations to strictly English to foster a sense of unity in the Hornets camp.

"Will the players be speaking only in English? Yes," Silva told reporters.

"The main language is English. I've come here to speak English. Normally I talk in front of everyone in English. Sometimes I need to speak to Spanish players a bit in Spanish but that is not perfect."

Watford's players hail from 20 different countries, but Silva has recruited British talent this summer, signing Will Hughes from Derby County and Nathaniel Chalobah from Chelsea.

Under former Hornets boss Walter Mazzarri, a number of different languages were used on the training ground, although the Italian conducted his press conferences in English.
