Preview: Watford vs. Brentford

Sports Mole looks ahead to Tuesday night's Championship match at Vicarage Road as new Watford boss Billy McKinlay faces Brentford in his first match in charge.

It's all change at Watford again following Oscar Garcia's decision to step down as head coach of the Hornets because of health issues less than a month after taking the job.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion boss only took charge of one game - a 1-0 defeat to Charlton - before he was forced to miss the next three because of chest pains.

He has now been replaced by former Scotland international Billy McKinlay, who becomes a manager for the first time after coaching roles with Fulham and Northern Ireland.

Despite the uncertain nature surrounding their boss, Watford's players have continued to produce good results, going unbeaten with two wins and a draw since Garcia was taken ill.

They lie fourth in the table and could go level on points with table-toppers Norwich City with a win against Mark Warburton's Brentford.

McKinlay will still be without Troy Deeney and Gabriel Tamas, but could choose to start Fernando Forestieri and Lloyd Dyer after both came on in the 2-2 draw with Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

As for Brentford, they will come into the match in buoyant mood after beating Leeds United 2-0 on Saturday to end a poor run of form - they had lost their previous two games 4-0 and 3-0.

Warburton could go with an unchanged XI because of the impressive display against Leeds, which saw them move into the top half of the table.

Tomorrow's match will be the first time these two sides have met competitively since January 1998, when both sides were in League One.
