Ben Watson completes Watford switch

Watford announce that they have signed midfielder Ben Watson from Wigan Athletic.

Watford have confirmed the signing of midfielder Ben Watson from Wigan Athletic.

The 29-year-old could make his debut tomorrow when the Hornets host Blackpool in the Championship.

Watson's contract at the DW Stadium was due to expire at the end of the season.

The former England Under-21 international will be best remembered by Wigan fans for scoring the winning goal against Manchester City in the 2013 FA Cup final.

Watson, who returned to action in November following a broken leg, joined the Latics from Crystal Palace in 2009.
