Roy Hodgson believes his side deserved to come away with more than a 2-1 defeat against Norwich.

West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson has revealed that he didn't think his side deserved to lose their match against Norwich.

The Baggies fell to a 2-1 home defeat to the Canaries, their third league loss in a row, but Hodgson believes that his side were unfortunate to leave the game empty-handed.

"I didn't think we played particularly well in the first half albeit I thought it was quite harsh to go in 1-0 down but in the second half we did a lot better and took the game to Norwich," the veteran manager told Sky Sports News.

"I thought that when we equalised, it was a just equaliser, which was a result of the pressure we were putting on them. We went for the winner and with all the players forward and in a good shooting opportunity we lost the ball and they scored against us on the counter-attack.

"All credit for them and congratulations for them to doing that but we're a little bit disappointed with ourselves for doing that in a game that we had quite a lot of control over for long periods."

The result lifts Norwich up to ninth in the table and leaves West Brom hovering just three places above the relegation zone.
