West Bromwich Albion withstand West Ham United fightback in six-goal thriller

West Bromwich Albion clinch a 4-2 win over West Ham United in Saturday's Premier League clash at The Hawthorns, with Nacer Chadli scoring two goals and assisting two more.

West Bromwich Albion have produced a sterling display against West Ham United in Saturday's Premier League clash at The Hawthorns, racing into a four-goal lead to claim a 4-2 win.

The floodgates opened for the Baggies after they won a penalty in the eighth minute following Arthur Masuaku's handball in the box, which Nacer Chadli converted with a low drive into the left side of the net.

Chadli then turned provider in the 37th minute by telegraphing the ball over to Salomon Rondon, who showed brilliant composure inside the box to bury the ball into the bottom-left corner.

With just one minute left to play in the first half, Chadli played yet another part in one of his side's goals, lashing an effort towards goal which was deflected off James McClean and into the Hammers' net.

The Belgian international was not finished yet, as he would go on to grab his brace and West Brom's fourth in the 56th minute, latching on to Rondon's ball and firing home from close range.

West Ham were able to mount a comeback of sorts when Dimitri Payet's 61st-minute lofted pass found Michail Antonio, who steered a header into the net, and Manuel Lanzini converted a penalty four minutes later following McClean's foul in the box.

However, Tony Pulis's charges were able to hold on and take all three points, putting them eighth in the Premier League table, while Slaven Bilic's side continues to struggle in 17th place.
