West Bromwich Albion defender Jonas Olsson insists that he is committed to playing for the club.

West Bromwich Albion defender Jonas Olsson has insisted that he is committed to the club, despite having a release clause in the four-year contract he signed earlier this season.

The Baggies reportedly turned down a bid from Queens Park Rangers for the 29-year-old Sweden international during the winter transfer window.

West Brom head coach Steve Clarke then revealed that Olsson could leave The Hawthorns in the summer, but only to one of six clubs named in his contract.

Despite this, Olsson has claimed that he is happy at the West Midlands club.

"I don't like to speak about what is in my contract," ITV Sport quotes Olsson as saying. "It's confidential. But I made it clear that I am happy here when I signed for four years in September. I think that says it all.

"As I've said before, as a player you set goals with a team and as an individual and you always want to push higher in your career. I am no different to anyone else.

"I have dreams and ambitions to achieve - but I am very happy at the club and happy with what we have achieved this year and hopefully will achieve towards the end of the season."

Olsson has made 27 appearances for West Brom this season in all competitions.
