Sam Allardyce has said that a lack of patience cost his side in their draw with West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League this afternoon.
The home side took the lead early on, but Saido Berahino scored the equaliser just before half time to ensure that the match finished 1-1 at Upton Park.
The manager told reporters: "We would have had three points if we had a little bit more patience and stop getting over-anxious in terms of throwing too many forward.
"In trying to be creative we were over-creative and then they scored on the break. It's always difficult to play three games in such a short space, you could see the fatigue level in both teams.
"West Brom camped themselves in their half after the break. We didn't manage to break them, apart from the Aaron Cresswell free kick."
The result leaves West Ham sixth in the Premier League table.
