Slaven Bilic hopes to sign five more players at West Ham United

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic says that he wants to sign at least five more players before the end of the month.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has claimed that he wants to sign at least five more players before the end of the transfer window.

The Hammers have a busy schedule this month as they could play five games by the end of August due to their participation in the Europa League.

Last night, Bilic's side advanced into the playoffs after sealing a 3-0 victory over NK Domzale in their first competitive fixture at the Olympic Stadium.

After the match, Bilic claimed that he is hoping to make additional signings, with a striker and left-back said to be priorities.

"I have no problems saying playing in the Europa League lowers your chances in the Premier League," talkSPORT quotes Bilic as saying. "It doesn't matter, we want to try. It brings positive things. You gain something, you lose something.

"Basically we have five games before the September international break and this squad is not big enough. Hopefully we will have a minimum of five players to add to this squad."

West Ham's first Premier League game of the 2016-17 season is away to Chelsea on August 15.
