Brighton & Hove Albion consider move for West Ham United defender James Collins?

Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly willing to pay £2m in order to secure the signing of West Ham United defender James Collins.

West Ham United defender James Collins has reportedly emerged as a possible transfer target for Brighton & Hove Albion.

Collins has spent a large portion of his career with the Hammers, with the 34-year-old making 142 appearances during his second spell at the club.

The former Wales international has also contributed to seven points being recorded from three Premier League appearances since the arrival of David Moyes, but the centre-back's contract expires in the summer.

According to the London Evening Standard, Brighton have shown an interest in Collins, who they feel could help them remain in the top flight for a second campaign.

The report suggests that Chris Hughton would be willing to pay £2m to sign Collins, although the player would allegedly prefer to end his career at the London Stadium.
