Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly been turned down by Nantes striker Emiliano Sala over a prospective move to the Amex Stadium.
The 27-year-old has impressed for the Canaries this season, scoring nine goals in 20 games in all competitions.
According to The Sun, Brighton manager Chris Hughton had expressed an interest in signing Sala to improve the Seagulls' chances of Premier League survival.
The report goes on to claim that Brighton officials contacted Sala at the end of last week with the offer, but the Argentine is believed to have pledged his future to Claudio Ranieri's side.
Sala, whose contributions have helped Nantes to fifth place in the Ligue 1 table, will reportedly be signing a new contract at La Beaujoire-Louis Fonteneau until 2022.
