Diafra Sakho's transfer talks with West Ham United 'delayed by horse race'

Diafra Sakho's transfer talks with West Ham United are reportedly delayed by his agent's desire to watch the racing at Chelmsford.

West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho reportedly had to wait for his agent's horse to compete at Chelmsford before holding talks about his future with the East London club.

The Senegal international is believed to be keen to secure a move to Rennes after travelling to France to hash out details of a transfer.

However, the 27-year-old did not receive the green light from West Ham's owners, and has since returned to England to hold talks with co-chairmen David Gold and David Sullivan.

According to the Daily Mail, Sakho waited in a car park while his agent Mark McKay watched his horse Siege of Boston win the seven-furlong 3.20 at Chelmsford.

Ahead of transfer deadline day, Gold tweeted that Sakho is not for sale.
