West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady dodges reports that the Hammers are keen on signing Norwich City striker Grant Holt.

West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has refused to be drawn on speculation linking the Hammers with a move for Norwich City striker Grant Holt.

The newly-promoted Premier League side are reportedly planning to lodge an increased £6.5m bid for the 31-year-old, who put forward a transfer request last month.

"It's not appropriate to comment on other people's players," Brady told Sky Sports News. "We prefer to do our business face to face with the chairmen of other clubs, and that's what we'll do.

"We hope to bring in a few more significant signings to improve our team and increase our chances of remaining in the Premier League and really 'have a go'.

"Sam [Allardyce] has made a very strategic plan. We have a comprehensive list of players we hope to bring in and we are working to do that."

Brady also claimed that the Hammers are hoping to learn about their potential acquisition of the Olympic Stadium in September.
