Preview: Wigan Athletic vs. Reading

Sports Mole previews Good Friday's Championship match between fifth and sixth in the table - Wigan Athletic and Reading.

It's fifth against sixth at the DW Stadium on Good Friday as Wigan Athletic take on Reading in the Championship.

Although both sides currently lie in the playoff places, neither is guaranteed a top-six finish, with Wigan three points clear of the chasing pack while goal difference is the only thing keeping Reading above Brighton & Hove Albion and Ipswich Town.

Wigan will have their eyes now fully focused on the league after their defence of the FA Cup was cruelly ended by Arsenal on penalties in Saturday's FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

Uwe Rosler could make a number of changes, with Ali Al-Habsi, Leon Barnett, Jack Collison and Martyn Waghorn ready to return to the starting lineup.

Visitors Reading, meanwhile, moved back into the top six by earning a point against league leaders Leicester City on Monday.

Mikele Leigertwood was sent off after coming off the bench and will now have to sit out at the DW.

Wigan have won their last three games against Reading, coming out on top 2-1 in the reverse fixture just before Christmas.
