Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan reveals that the club have rejected a £2.5m offer for Callum McManaman from Crystal Palace.

Wigan Athletic have rejected a £2.5m offer for Callum McManaman from Crystal Palace.

Latics chairman Dave Whelan said that the offer was rebuffed because the club are keen to hold onto the forward.

"Callum McManaman is not leaving Wigan," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"He is a great talent with a bright future and we think we can develop him. He's going nowhere."

Whelan also revealed that the club have knocked back an offer from Everton for James McCarthy, believed to be in the region of £10m.
