Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett insists that goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey should be ready to return for the start of the 2013-14 season.

Kenny Jackett has revealed that Wayne Hennessey should be ready to make his return from a knee injury in time for the start of the 2013-14 season.

The goalkeeper has not played for the Wolverhampton Wanderers first team for 14 months after sustaining two cruciate ligament injuries.

The manager told the club's official website: "In terms of Wayne we are going to have to monitor what he does and take it every day.

"We will have to be very careful with him but basically he is confident and he is good to go.

"We will monitor his situation and treat him with kid gloves to make sure he gets through the pre-season period."

Hennessey will return to training with the rest of the squad next week.
