Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Mick McCarthy believes that he owes the club's owner Steve Morgan "a debt of gratitude".
Recent reports had claimed that Morgan was rapidly losing patience with McCarthy following a run of results that had seen Wolves slip into the relegation zone.
However, Saturday's 2-1 win over Queens Park Rangers pulled Wolves out of the danger zone and McCarthy has thanked Morgan for sticking by him.
"Can I just say something about my owner? We have won three games in 22 and I am still here as the manager of Wolves," McCarthy told the club's official website. "Let me tell you that is some level of support so let's not forget that.
"When everyone is writing negative stuff about me and Steve, he has been as supportive as anyone else.
"I owe him a debt of gratitude for that."
McCarthy has been in charge of Wolves since 2006.
