Jamie O'Hara "desperate" to play

Jamie O'Hara believes that a disappointing last season has given him the motivation to impress for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Jamie O'Hara has insisted that he is "desperate" for the chance to prove people wrong this season as he bids to become a part of the first team once more.

O'Hara said that last season, during which he did not start one game for the club, was awful for him but he intends to use the disappointment to work his way back into the team's plans.

"In the past people had the wrong perception and I'm just desperate to get back and show them what I'm about," he told Sky Sports News.

"The perception is that people think I'm a celebrity and when I hear people saying that I'm a celebrity it's like a stake in my heart.

"It's been a bad season for me and a bad time but I know I will look back on this season and say that it changed me as a person."

O'Hara joined Wolves in 2011 from Tottenham Hotspur.
