Managing director Laurie Dalrymple suggests that Wolverhampton Wanderers are 'not planning on doing a huge amount' during the remaining weeks of the transfer window.

Managing director Laurie Dalrymple has suggested that Wolverhampton Wanderers are close to completing their transfer business for the summer window.

Since earning promotion to the Premier League, Wolves have completed deals for seven players, although five featured on loan for the club last season and Benik Afobe has since been sold to Stoke City.

Wolves continue to be linked with a wide range of players, but Dalrymple has indicated that supporters should not expect many more incomings before the start of the new season.

Dalrymple told the Express & Star: "Never say never but I don't think we've got a huge amount to do. As it was last year, it'll be targeted in specific [areas].

"We'll have a clear idea in terms of a positionally but also the characteristic and the type of player we want, if we can get those people in the door obviously we'll make a move for that.

"I'm not speaking for him but Nuno [Espirito Santo]'s got a pretty clear idea in terms of the size of the group and the squad he wants to work with, as he did last year. The quicker we can get to that level the better, because that means that's the group he's working with over the course of pre-season and going into next year."

Wolves have also confirmed that midfielder Ruben Neves has penned a new long-term contract at Molineux.
