Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett expects David Davis exit

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett reveals that midfielder David Davis is likely to leave the club.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett has revealed that midfielder David Davis could leave the club in the next couple of days.

The 23-year-old, who is expected to join Barnsley, has been left behind for the Championship side's pre-season tour of Ireland.

"David has stayed behind because we don't want to risk anything as one or two clubs are showing an interest," Jackett is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"Something could develop today or tomorrow so we didn't want to risk bringing him out here if we had to send him back."

David signed his first professional contract with Wolves back in 2009 after graduating from the club's youth academy.
