Bakary Sako: 'I want to play in Premier League'

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Bakary Sako admits that he remains keen to play in the Premier League in the near future.

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Bakary Sako has revealed that he is open to remaining at Molineux for the final year of his contract.

Sako was heavily linked with a move to Nottingham Forest in the summer, but after that failed to materialise, the former Saint-Etienne player has gone on to score 12 times in 36 appearances for Kenny Jackett's side.

However, despite enjoying a successful campaign with Wolves, Sako has reiterated his desire to play in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old told the Express & Star: "My objective is to play in the Premier League. I have one year left on my contract and we'll see if something comes up which satisfies me and the club. If it does, OK, but if not I have another year.

"I want to stay in England because the mentality here is really good."

Wolves require three wins from their final six games to guarantee their return to the Championship.
