Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Stale Solbakken is reportedly close to clinching St Etienne midfielder Bakary Sako, who is due to have a medical this week.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly close to signing Saint-Etienne midfielder Bakary Sako.

Wolves boss Stale Solbakken has been busy trying to bring in reinforcements following the departures of Matt Jarvis and Steven Fletcher.

It is believed that the 24-year-old is due to undergo a medical at Molineux in the next 24 hours after fighting off interest from a host of English clubs, according to Sky Sports News.

The former France Under-21 international has been with Saint-Etienne since 2009.
