Derby County ease past Yeovil Town

Derby County beat Yeovil Town 3-0 in the Championship thanks to goals from Johnny Russell, Craig Bryson and Chris Martin at Huish Park.

Derby County have claimed their second victory in the Championship this season by beating Yeovil Town 3-0 at Huish Park.

Craig Bryson had the first effort on goal for Derby in the third minute, but could only put his shot over. They created another chance moments later but Johnny Russell fired wide from 20 yards.

Joe Ralls had a shot from long range for the home side but Derby goalkeeper Lee Grant managed to safely hold on.

In the 42nd, minute Russell put Derby into the lead after being found in the box by Andy Keogh before firing home.

Craig Bryson soon doubled the away side's lead just two minutes later when he was played through on goal by Chris Martin and slotted past Wayne Hennessey.

Derby nearly made it 3-0 before the break but Jamie Ward's low shot was saved by Hennessey.

The visitors did get their third goal in the 58th minute when Chris Martin slotted home after Hennessey couldn't hold on to Ward's shot.

Liam Davis had the best chance to pull a goal back for Yeovil but his far-post header was saved by Lee Grant.
