Bernd Wiesberger edges ahead in Malaysia

Bernd Wiesberger shoots a third-round 63 to move two shots ahead at the Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur.

Lee Westwood has dropped down to third place at the Malaysian Open after an excellent round of 63 from Bernd Wiesberger.

The Austrian, who moved into the world's top 50 for the first time last week, recorded 10 birdies on Saturday to move two clear of Alejandro Canizares ahead of the final round.

Westwood sits a shot further adrift, but it could have been worse for the Englishman who needed to birdie the final two holes to ensure that he remained in close proximity to Wiesberger.

Countryman Paul Waring shares third with Westwood, but the performance of the day belonged to India's Anirban Lahiri, who hit a 10-under-par round of 62.

Spain's Alvaro Quiros is in a tie for eighth as he targets an improved 2015, but Graeme McDowell has fallen to 18th spot after a second successive over-par round.
