Real Madrid's club shop has reportedly kept Mesut Ozil's presence at the Bernabeu by selling shirts with his name on and allowing fans to buy photos of the midfielder.
The German international midfielder left Madrid for Arsenal on transfer deadline day for a reported £42.5m, causing fans and players alike to express their disappointment in his departure.
Despite him playing in new colours, the club shop allows fans to be pictured alongside Ozil in a mocked-up photo, as well as feature the midfielder in the club's stadium tour.
"We make photos up for fans who want to be part of the club and who want to imagine they are players and this is the only way," the Daily Star quotes tour guide Sofia as saying.
"Even though Ozil has gone we still keep him on the system because people always choose to have their photo with him because they like to pretend he is still here."
The 24-year-old's exit came after Madrid secured the £85m signing of Gareth Bale.
