Everton could move to a new stadium within two years, according to the Mayor of Liverpool.
Toffees-supporting Joe Anderson met with chairman Bill Kenwright and the club's new majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri on Tuesday to discuss options for a move away from Goodison Park, which has been home to the side since 1892.
After the meeting, Anderson took to Twitter to claim that a new stadium could be built in time for the 2018-19 season.
Great meeting with Farhad. Still believe a new stadium in 2 yrs is achievable. #COYB 👍👍👍👍👍 pic.twitter.com/hmZmCZFx6s

Everton are believed to be considering options of purchasing land near the docklands or at Stonebridge Cross in Croxteth.
