Catalans Dragons stun Wigan Warriors

Catalan Dragons secure a 22-8 win over Wigan Warriors with a strong second-half performance in the Super League.

A strong second-half performance from Catalans Dragons secured the French side a 22-8 win over Wigan Warriors in the Super League.

There was little between the two sides in the first half with a try from Scott Taylor in the 40th minute cancelling out an earlier effort from Frederic Vaccari for the hosts.

The Dragons were awarded a series of penalties in the opening stages of the second half, which Thomas Bosc elected to kick and edged his side ahead.

However, the Catalans were able to up their game further, as Steve Menzies and Eloi Pelissier added tries inside in the final 20 minutes to take the match away from the Warriors.

The result moves the Catalans up to fifth in the Super League table.
