James Roby has said that England must play to their true potential if they are to defeat New Zealand in the semi-final of the Rugby League World Cup at Wembley on Saturday.
Steve McNamara's side lost their opening group game to Australia, but have still made the last four on home soil despite struggling to hit top form.
They go head to head against a Kiwi side regarded as one of the favourites for the tournament, and Roby has vowed that he and his teammates will rise to the occasion.
"We know that we are capable of better than what we have shown, so it is quite frustrating that we are not doing it on the day," PA quotes the St Helens hooker as saying.
"It will be as tough a test as we have had so far and we know we need to be at the top of our game. I am certain we will be ready.
"Everyone has worked really hard to get to where we are now and there's a lot of hunger within the camp. The Kiwis are possibly the form team of the tournament but I think we are at least equal to them. On our day we can turn anyone over."
Saturday's second semi-final features Australia and Fiji, with the final to be played at Old Trafford on November 30.
