Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane has claimed that his side can still improve, despite their 42-0 win over Salford City Reds in Friday's Super League opener.
Sam Tomkins scored a hat-trick at the Salford City Stadium as the two-time champions romped to a comfortable victory.
"That wasn't a complete performance - too many penalties and a little loose in contact. Once we fix that up we will be okay this year," Wane told Sky Sports News.
"It blew the cobwebs out. We had a few players a bit rusty but I'm happy with the performance."
Wigan play their first home game of the season next Friday when they welcome Warrington Wolves to the DW Stadium.
