Scotland full-back Stuart Hogg has admitted that he feels "very fortunate" to be a part of the British and Irish Lions tour of Australia.
The 20-year-old beat off strong competition from Leigh Halfpenny and Rob Kearney to earn a starting berth against the Barbarians in the tour opener on Saturday.
While he is excited by the opportunity to start in Hong Kong, Hogg concedes that he feels lucky to have been named on the tour.
"It is quite surreal when you are putting on Lions T-shirts, looking at the badge and you are thinking 'I'm not here as a supporter, I'm here as a player'," Hogg told Sky Sports News.
"I find myself very fortunate to be here as a player. I am enjoying it, and I am looking forward to learning a lot on the tour.
"It's pretty surreal being here, but I've got myself here on good performances, and I am hoping to continue that form. It's an exciting couple of months ahead."
Hogg is making his tour debut.
