Scotland winger Sean Maitland has labelled compatriot Stuart Hogg as "the most exciting player to come out of Scotland" ahead of the British and Irish Lions tour.
The 20-year-old has been in dazzling form for both club Glasgow and his country, that has resulted in him being picked by head coach Warren Gatland as parts of the Lions squad for the summer tour of Australia.
While many have tipped Wales's Leigh Halfpenny to start the tour at scrum-half, Maitland has no doubts that Hogg could make an impact if given the role.
"He's 20 years old and he's probably the most exciting player to come out of Scotland," said Maitland. "Scotland probably hasn't seen a player like him for quite a while.
"He's young, he's ambitious and he's got no fear. You see how he carries the ball back and how electric he can be.
"He's got a massive career in front of him."
The Lions tour gets underway in Hong Kong on June 1 when they face the Barbarians.
