Former London Wasps and Biarritz back-row Serge Betsen backs France to impress in the Six Nations.

Former London Wasps and Biarritz back-row Serge Betsen believes that France will enter the Six Nations as the favourites for the crown.

France enter the competition on the back of a four-Test unbeaten run, but they disappointed in the Six Nations last year, finishing fourth.

"France will do very well. It was difficult for them last year because of the postponed game with Ireland in Paris. It was then very hard for them challenge because they had three hard games in a row while others got to rest," he told Sky Sports News.

"I think it is going to be a lot better this time as they have been going really well. In the summer they mixed up the young players and the November Tests confirmed that this group can compete."

The 38-year-old made 63 appearances for his country.
