Jonny Gray, Ross Ford suspensions overturned

Scotland are given a major boost after the suspensions handed to Ross Ford and Jonny Gray are overturned ahead of their quarter-final tie against South Africa.

Jonny Gray and Ross Ford have had their suspensions overturned and are free to feature in Scotland's Rugby World Cup quarter-final showdown with Australia.

Hooker Ford and lock Gray were handed the initial punishment for a two-man tip tackle on Samoa's Jack Lam last weekend.

The duo received three-week bans as a result, ruling them out of the remainder of the tournament, but the Dark Blues decided to appeal the contentious decision.

Both players are now eligible to play a part against the Wallabies on Sunday afternoon, despite coach Vern Cotter naming his side without the suspended duo included.
