Jonathan Davies suffers injury blow

Jonathan Davies is to miss Wales's opening November Test match against Australia, having been ruled out for between two and three weeks.

Wales centre Jonathan Davies has been ruled out for between two and three weeks with a shoulder injury.

The 26-year-old will now miss next week's Test against Australia at the very least, as well as club side Clermont's trip to Bayonne.

Davies sustained the injury during the French outfit's 35-3 Champions Cup victory over Sale Sharks, with Clermont revealing the news in a short statement.

"We have good relations with the Welsh and we will keep in touch with them in order to find out when Jonathan can play for us again," manager Franck Azema added.

Wales play four Tests next month in Cardiff, against Australia, Fiji, New Zealand and South Africa.
