Dean Ryan: 'Worcester Warriors can avoid relegation from Aviva Premiership'

Worcester Warriors director of rugby Dean Ryan believes that the team can still avoid relegation from the Aviva Premiership this season, despite being without a win so far.

Dean Ryan has said that Worcester Warriors still have a chance to avoid relegation from the Aviva Premiership this season.

A last-minute try from London Wasps denied the Warriors their first win of the season at the weekend, leaving Worcester 12 point adrift at the bottom of the table.

The club's director of rugby told BBC Sport: "I'm not going to let us feel sorry for ourselves. We still think we've got a chance in this.

"As long as it is still on mathematically, then we will still be up for it. As long as the maths still say 'yes', we'll give it a good crack.

"We needed to beat Wasps to change the dynamics of the game at Newcastle. But we will go up there this weekend to make sure we do the right thing and represent this group in the right way."

Worcester face Newcastle Falcons this weekend.
