Andy Murray has revealed that he is hoping that experience can play its part when facing home favourite Nick Kyrgios in the Australian Open quarter-finals.
The sixth seed faces the up-and-coming 19-year-old after the two players overcame Grigor Dimitrov and Andreas Seppi respectively, and the two-time major winner has acknowledged that he will have to cope with playing the role of the villain in the Rod Laver Arena.
The 27-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "Obviously the crowd will be right behind him and understandably so.
"They're going to watch him play a lot of matches like this over the next 10, 15 years probably. That's just something that I'll have to deal with in my way.
"I've played a lot of matches. I've played in the French Open against French players where the crowd can be very difficult. I've experienced it before, so hopefully I'll deal with it well."
The last-eight showdown will start shortly after 8am GMT on Tuesday.
