Novak Djokovic withdraws from Davis Cup duty

"Fatigue" forces world number one Novak Djokovic to pull out of Serbia's Davis Cup clash against India.

Serbia will have to make do without the services of Novak Djokovic in their upcoming Davis Cup tie with India.

The world number one, who lost to Kei Nishikori in the semi-finals of the US Open at the weekend, has withdrawn due to "fatigue".

"I spoke to Djokovic last night and he said he will not come to India. The main reason for this being fatigue," captain Bogdan Obradovic told reporters.

The experienced Janko Tipsarevic will also play no part against the Indians because of a foot complaint.
