Stanislas Wawrinka has seen off Dusan Lajovic in four sets to reach the third round of the French Open.
The world number nine failed to convert three break points during a cagey opening set, but the Swiss persevered before taking it 6-3.
However, 67th-ranked Lajovic fought back emphatically in the second as he opened up a 5-1 lead. Wawrinka managed to pull one of the breaks back, though he could not stop the Serb from coming through 7-5.
Four breaks were shared between the men at the start of the third before Wawrinka came back from 15-40 down on serve at 3-4 to fend off Lajovic. The former Australian Open champion then broke late on to take the set 7-5 and regain the initiative.
With Lajovic's spirits low, Wawrinka swiftly moved 5-1 up in the fourth, allowing him to close out a tricky encounter 6-3 5-7 7-5 6-3.
